Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 90s here in Gilroy. The perfect weather to enjoy this two ingredient mango sorbet! And even better, this is a no churn recipe, all you need is a food processor! Mango is one of my favorite fruits. The flavor is so fresh and tropical and makes the perfect frozen treat. Mango is not too sweet, or too tart, it is practically perfect in every way.

You may have already figured it out, but this list will only contain two items!

  • Frozen mango
  • Orange juice

Frozen Mango

You can certainly cut a fresh mango down into chunks and freeze it. This is a great option during the summer months when mango is in season. The easy option however is to just purchase the pre-frozen mango chunks as I have for this recipe.

Orange Juice

I have used orange juice in this recipe as it is mild and does not overpower the mango flavor. The orange juice however can be substituted for another complimentary liquid. The main function of the liquid is to help the frozen mango reach the desired consistency. Pineapple juice or coconut water would both be excellent substitutes and compliment the tropical mango flavor.

Making the sorbet

The sorbet is very easy to make and comes together in a matter of minutes. Start by pulsing the frozen mango chunks in the food processor until a chunky powder like consistency is reached.

Next, scrape down the sides of the bowl and add the orange juice again. Pulse 7-8 times until the desired consistency is reached. I have a quick reel on my instagram that shows how easy it is! Enjoy immediately, or freeze in an air tight container for up to a month.
