Description

This easy no bake jelly slice is sure to be an instant family favorite. A crisp base is topped with a creamy layer and finished with your favorite jelly

Ingredients
  • 1 packet plain biscuits/cookies (crushed)
  • 4 ounces butter (melted)
  • 3 teaspoons gelatine
  • 1/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 lemon (juiced)
  • 3 ounces jelly/jell-o crystals
Instructions
  1. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper and set aside

  2. Mix crushed biscuits/cookies with melted butter and press into lined pan to form the base

  3. Dissolve the gelatine in 1/4 cup of boiling water 

  4. Mix dissolved gelatine, condensed milk and lemon juice until well combined

  5. Pour the gelatine/condensed milk mixture over the base and refrigerate to set. Approximately two hours

  6. Once the condensed milk layer is set make the jelly using 1/4 cup less water than instructed on the packet

  7. Set the jelly mixture aside to cool to room temperature

  8. Once the jelly has cooled to room temp slowly pour over the condensed milk layer and refrigerate to set. Approximately 4 hours, or over night

Notes

Ensure the gelatine and jelly crystals are well dissolved before proceeding with their respective steps

Ensure the jelly has completely cooled to room temperature before pouring over the condensed milk layer or the condensed milk layer may melt

Store left over jelly slice in an air tight container in the fridge for up to a week
