Hikers Slice – Chocolate Fudge No Bake Slice

Description

A classic kiwi recipe, hikers slice is an easy, one-bowl, no-bake chocolate fudge slice. 

Ingredients
  • 1/2 pound butter (1 stick)
  • 1/2 pound granulated sugar (1 cup, 2 tbsp)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 packets plain biscuits/cookies (crushed)
  • basic chocolate icing (optional)
Instructions
  1. In a large heavy bottom saucepan melt butter, sugar and cocoa powder over medium heat, stirring constantly

  2. Once ingredients are well combined remove saucepan from heat and vigorously beat in eggs one at a time

  3. Add crushed biscuits to pot and stir to combine

  4. Turn batter into a 8x8 parchment lined pan and press into an even layer and leave to set (approx. 1 hour)

  5. Once set top with basic chocolate icing (optional)
