This basic chocolate icing is quick and easy to put together and perfect on cakes or doughnuts.

Ingredients
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 7 tablespoons hot water (approx.)
Instructions
    1. Sift powdered sugar and cocoa into a large bowl
    2. Add melted butter, vanilla and 4 tablespoons of hot water and stir to combine
    3. Add additional hot water as needed to reach desired consistency
